2023 NOGI Winners Revealed

The Academy of Underwater Arts and Sciences (AUAS) has announced the winners of the 2023 NOGI awards.

This year’s winners will be presented with their awards on November 15th, 2023, at the NOGI Awards Gala Banquet during the DEMA Show in New Orleans. This year’s five winners include:

  • Distinguished Service- Abdulmohsen Abdulmalik Al-Sheikh.
  • Science- James R. Holm, M.D.
  • Sports/Education- Dr. Drew Richardson.
  • Environment- Lynn Funkhouser.
  • Arts- Amos Nachoum.

Commenting on this year’s winners, AUAS President Dan Orr stated:

“The NOGI Award is the oldest and most prestigious award in the recreational diving world, recognizing individuals who have made significant career contributions to the sport, the industry and the world in the Arts, the Sciences, the Environment, Sports/Education and through Distinguished Service.”
