Black Coral: A New Film About The Dramatic Story Of Black Coral Divers In Maui

-

“Black Coral,” a new film by the Winn Brothers, tells the dramatic and often harrowing story of Black Coral divers in Maui Hawaii. The film delves into the world of coral diving, interviewing many of the legends and exploring rivalries and friendships, as well as amusing and tragic moments.

The movie gives an honest look at the rewarding but often dangerous deep diving world of harvesting black coral. It also explores the techniques and methods used by the divers for over 60 years in their pursuit of the coral.

The film includes interviews with diving legends Jack Ackerman, Rick Grigg, and Robin Lee and others. Billboard chart-topping artist Metisse composed a stunning yet haunting at times soundtrack for the film.

“Black Coral” is available for purchase via DVD or digital download. You can check out the trailer below.
