Emirates Diving Association in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme – Regional Office of West Asia / UNEP – ROWA are the organisers of this year’s 10th Clean-up Arabia that will be on Thursday – Friday 15th – 16th September.
Backed by both the Australian ‘Clean Up the World’ campaign and the USA based ‘International Coastal Cleanup’ and PADI PROJECT A.W.A.R.E. All these campaigns have years of experience around the world, coordinating groups from all walks of life, who will join together for the good of the earth.
The campaign aims to clean the marine environment from pollution, as well as directing people towards positive attitudes in maintaining a clean and sound environment by practice and participation.
The Emirates Diving Association carry this work out as, and with volunteers, who will be provided with T-shirts and caps, as well as the tools needed to achieve a high level of clean up.
The main areas to be covered will be:
1. East Coast (Fujairah & Khorfakkan)-UAE: both underwater with divers and along the shore with volunteers – Supported by Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach resort. (Main Event), Registration Required

2. Abu Dhabi-UAE: Organized by EDA Abu Dhabi Committee, both underwater with divers and along the shore with volunteers
3. Dubai Marine-UAE: Organized by TECOM, underwater with divers.
4. Oman: Organized by Global Scuba and the Oman Environment Society, both underwater with divers and along the shore with volunteers.
5. Jordan: Organized by Jordan Environment Society.
