DAN Is Holding An Out-of-Air Webinar

The Divers Alert Network is holding a webinar later today on how to keep from running out of air while underwater.

According to the announcement:

“DAN has been helping divers manage emergencies for more than 40 years. In that time, incident reports have shown that running out of breathing gas is consistently among the most common incidents and is the Number 1 cause of dive fatalities. Unfortunately, even the most skilled divers have made mistakes and run out of gas. In this presentation, we’ll present the 13 most common factors that contribute to out-of-air emergencies and discuss how to mitigate them. We’ll cover problems related to situational awareness, procedural problems such as starting with a less-than-full tank and omitting predive checks, and common equipment issues.”

The webinar begins at 7:00 p.m. US Eastern time. Check it (or the replay) out below.
