The Divers Alert Network unveiled a new “Group Travel Insurance” product at DEMA 2012 in Las Vegas this week.
The new program — meant for industry professionals who lead group diving trips — provides insurance coverage that protects groups of ten or more people against unforeseen events like emergency medical situations, trip interruptions or cancellations and baggage delays, according to a DAN booklet released at DEMA.
“DAN Group Travel Insurance is the only product on the market that features instant online purchase with no waiting period,” the booklet states, adding that group policies can be bought for 25 percent less than those for individuals.
