DEMA Show 2022 featured an Authors Corner where show attendees and exhibitors could sit down and engage with authors of diving-related books.
Five authors were highlighted this year: Brandi Mueller’s “The Airplane Graveyard: The Forgotten WWII Warbirds of Kwajalein Atoll,” Alex Brylske and Otto Wagner’s “Beneath the Blue Planet: A Diver’s Guide to the Ocean” and Mark Cowan and Martin Robson’s “Between the Devil and the Deep: One Man’s Battle to Beat the Bends.”
In her book “The Airplane Graveyard: The Forgotten WWII Warbirds of Kwajalein Atoll,” award-winning photographer Brandi Mueller shares stories and images of over 25 ships and 160 planes that were dumped in the lagoon of Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands at the end of World War II. The book is available for purchase online on Amazon, Ebay, etc. and retails for US$30/~€30.
“Beneath the Blue Planet” is a comprehensive guide to everything about the ocean. Its main areas of focus are oceanography, sharks, coral reefs and how to take the knowledge from the book and apply it into your daily diving practices. Mark Cowan and Martin Robson’s “Between the Devil and the Deep: One Man’s Battle to Beat the Bends” takes you through the incredible story of Robson’s encounter with the bends. Cowan also takes you through the history of the disease, the science behind what causes it and much more.
