A veteran and one of the latest adaptive divers with the Dive Pirates Foundation has thanked the organization for stepping up during a difficult time for the whole world.
Former Sgt. Kamron Lopez suffered a severe accident resulting in paraplegia and thought his scuba diving days were long gone. However, due to the efforts of WaterWorld Scuba, a chapter of the Dive Pirates Foundation, he is set to be one of the new adaptive diver participants at Key Largo June 19-24, 2021.
According to Lopez:
“What I am really looking forward to is being around people who love diving, it’s been a long time.”
In addition to Lopez, other adaptive divers that will join him in Key Largo that week are:
- Retired Corporal Jim Roos.
- Retired Sgt. Derrick McMillon.
- Jared Davis.
- Scott Wilson.
