DUI Introduces the Non Weight Integrated/Weight Integrated BC

In response to the diving public’s admiration for weight-integrated BCs and abhorrence to its drawbacks, DUI is unveiling the first non weight integrated weight integrated BC at DEMA next week in Las Vegas.Divers really like not wearing a weight belt, but often times the BC can’t hold enough weight, the weight isn’t in the right place for optimum trim and the unit is incredibly heavy to lift on the surface.

DUI has taken an innovative approach and has designed the ultimate weight integrated BC: The AURORA and INTREPID Buoyancy Control Systems. These units combine a streamlined BC with its own Weight & Trim System. The diver gets all of the benefits of a weight integrated BC and more with none of its drawbacks.

Available in a woman’s design (Aurora) and men’s (Intrepid) and each is available in a back mount (Explorer) and jacket (Classic) styles. Features include:

  • Multiple sizes for an excellent fit
  • DUI’s patented auto-retract attachment system
  • (2) bent stainless steel D-rings on harness
  • Adjustable comfort band with key pocket
  • Sternum strap
  • Soft lining inside with a padded edging around the neck
  • EXPLORER Model (Back mount)
  • Low profile bladder with shock-cord retention bands
  • (2) additional stainless steel bent D-rings on waist for accessories
  • Side buckle on comfort band

Classic Model (Jacket)

  • Additional "easy to locate" pull-to-dump valve
  • (2) additional stainless steel D-rings on bottom of jacket for accessories
  • Zippered pockets
  • WEIGHT & TRIM II (WT2)
  • Weights are separate and easy to handle
  • Weights adjust up and down for excellent trim
  • Easily holds 40 pounds
  • Weights can be easily be removed when exiting the water
  • In an emergency, weights can be released half at a time
