Epic Freediving Expedition to the Antarctic Announced

-

Three intrepid adventurers will be setting off from cape Horn on 16th February 2016 for a three week expedition to the Antarctic.

The 2016 Freedive Antarctica expedition sees Will Glendinning, “T.F.B” and Dave Crump, along with two boat crew, set off in their 54′ steel-hulled ‘Pelagic’ sailing vessel to start a journey that has been over a year in planning.

Once they get to the Antarctic peninsular they’ll then head as far south as the weather and ice permit – the target being 70 degrees south – the 70th parallel for a chance to freedive the depths never seen before and a chance to swim and freedive with Antarctica’s wildlife – Penguins, leopard seals, humpback whales and maybe orca.

We’ll be following their exploits and reporting back on this unique expedition.  In the meantime you can watch the trailer for the event below.
