Florida Keys Publishes New Diving Safety Video

-

The Monroe County Tourist Development Council has released a new “Dive Safely in the Florida Keys” video.

The council is in charge of diving operations in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and is the main tourist marketing organization for the Keys and Key West.

The video highlights the importance of safe diving practices both below and above the water. In the video, Dan Dawson, a Florida Keys dive operator, emphasizes the importance of properly maintaining your equipment. At the same time, underwater photographer Stephen Frink goes through the importance of maintaining good cardiovascular fitness to cope with the rigors of diving.

According to Stacey Mitchell, the director of the tourism council:

“Keys visitors have the opportunity to experience some of the world’s most amazing marine habitats through diving, and we want to do all we can to encourage safe and memorable experiences for them.”
