Diving and adventure wear manufacturers Fourth Element debuted their inaugural OceanPositive range of swimwear and rash guards in November 2014. The collection caught the eye of many divers at the DEMA Show including Ocean Elder and National Geographic explorer-in-residence, Dr. Sylvia Earle.
Today, 24th March 2018 – to mark Earth Hour – Fourth Element has announced they are honoring ‘Her Deepness’ by launching the ‘Sylvia’ swimsuit.

This elegant one piece is manufactured using fabric made from recycled ghost fishing nets. The fabric has excellent chlorine and UV resistance, thanks to the use of Lycra® Xtra Life™. The suit has a plunging neckline, a padded bust and the fabric pattern design is inspired by the plumage of undersea creatures.
“Sylvia Earle thought our OceanPositive range was a fantastic idea and she was impressed with what we are trying to achieve,” stated Jim Standing of Fourth Element. “We are thrilled she has given us her blessing to use her name. She said she was delighted that an OceanPositive swimsuit is to be called ‘Sylvia’.”
The ‘Sylvia’ is part of the OceanPositive ‘Pioneer’ range. This collection celebrates powerful and inspirational women of the sea, both from the early days of scuba diving and the modern era.
Fourth Element has confirmed that the Pioneer range will be available online, in dive centers and via selected UK Fat Face shops from 20th April 2018.
