The three competitive days of diving at the AIDA Team Freediving World Championships in Kalamata, Greece have finished and the Japanese Women and Czech Men teams have won first place and gold medals for their countries.

The final disciplines of Static (STA) and Dynamic (DYN) were held on Thursday 22nd and Saturday 24th respectively in wonderful Greek sunshine.
Solid performance all round on Thursday saw the strongest Static (STA) performances from the French Mens team and Czech Womens team, although as this is a combination discipline team competition it was the combined performances of all three disciplines that crowned the winners.
The Dynamic (DYN) competition saw some particularly strong performance from China, Malaysia and the USA with two National Records a piece as well as on for Japan, for a total of 7 new national records:
- Teoh Kim Seng – 137m – Malaysia
- Syafidatul Azua Shafii – 128m – Malaysia
- Jessea Lu – 200m – China
- Aolin Wang – 200m – China
- Tom Gilmore – 208m – USA
- Meghan Gilmore – 179m – USA
- Hanako Hirose – 197m – Japan
Once all the results were calculated the final top podium positions were:

The closing ceremony was held on Saturday night with the winners crowned World Champions in front of their peers and the World Freediving community.
