Liquification in Cayman kicks off

TheLiquification Freediving competition organised by Performance FreedivingInternational kicked off yesterday. The results page can be found at thislink.

National Recordholder Junko Kitahama (JPN) succesfully performed a CNF dive to 43 metres. There were other failed attempts, CharlesBeddoe did not reach the announced depth and blacked out, and also Mandy-RaeCruickshank who reached the announced 54 metres but also ended in blackout. Caroline Schrappe and Craig Gentry receivedpenalties. Achievements in the DNFcategory were by Andy Norlander (USA) 115m (announced distance 75m) and Matt Charlton (CND) 125m (announced distance 76m). More results will follow as day progresses.

Today 22April, depth diving will take place in the morning andpool is held in the evening.
