6 times Freedive WorldRecord holder Freediver Mandy-Rae Cruickshank is to depart from Grand Cayman soon without a new world record title. Sheexplains of a bout of flu, also suffered by other competitors as well whichimpacted the team’s performance, as is seen clearly on the results page. Mandy-Rae attempted her announced record dive to 91 metres but failedto attain the depth, and turned around at 49 metres. An update from MsMandy-Rae is expected shortly.
Rob King (USA) saved theday by attaining yet another National Record, diving 55m (CNF).
On the 30th April, Mandy-Rae and herhusband and coach, Mr. Kirk Krack, will appear live on TV and explain theirfascinating life as freedivers and competitors to Oprah Winfrey. Details of theshow and timings will be received shortly.
