New National Freediving Record for United Arab Emirates

An new national record was set yesterday at the 2nd Mediterrean Freediving Meeting at Sougia, Crete.

Adel Abu Haliqa, current United Arab Emirates National Record holder of all three pool freediving disciplines, dived to 35 metres yesterday in the Constant Weight discipline, using a monofin.  Mr Haliqa said that it was an easy dive in spite of strong currents and hopes for more success in the coming days.

The total dive time estimated was 1’15” including a pose at the bottom for the camera, Mr Haliqa said.
