New US National Dynamic Record Set

-

London – Theo Ivanovic, an American freediver based in London, performed an impressive 167 metre dynamic apnea freedive at The Mavericks Crystal Palace Pool Competition, on the 12th November 2006. This breaks the previous US record of 149 metres – also held by Ivanovic.

The competition was a mixed event of static apnea and dynamic apnea. It was the first event of its kind to be hosted in London. Ivanovic also won the event outright, after a five minute 32 second breath hold in static, resulted in a clear lead for both disciplines.
