To mark the 10th anniversary of the launch of its very first product — the Classic noseclip with a plastic structure — Swiss company OCTOPUS FREEDIVING has unveiled a crowdfunding campaign for its new Classic Aluminum noseclip.
This new version stays true to the spirit of the original while taking a clear step forward in terms of materials and finish, according to the company.
The Classic Aluminum features a structure machined from AL6061 aluminum, an alloy known for its strength and durability, thanks in part to magnesium as its main alloying element. Despite the change in material, comfort remains unchanged: The elastomer pads are exactly the same as on the plastic Classic model — identical in shape and dimensions and fully interchangeable — ensuring an excellent seal while remaining extremely comfortable, even during long freediving sessions.
Designed through extensive ergonomic testing, the Classic Aluminum noseclip is made to fit most noses, eliminating the need for multiple sizes. It weighs 15 grams/.53 ounces.
Each noseclip is delivered with OCTOPUS FREEDIVING’s signature leash.
As with previous product launches, the Classic Aluminum noseclip is currently available for pre-order via an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. Early bird offers start at €29/~US$34, with deliveries scheduled for the end of June. The official retail price will be €65/~$77 once the campaign concludes.

(Remember: This is a crowdfunding campaign, so you are helping to fund the development of a project, but not a finished product. Please make sure you research the project before spending any money.)
