PADI and the Divers Alert Network have announced an immersive seminar aimed at promoting diving safety.
The daylong seminar will take place on June 2, 2023, from 9:00 am through 3:00 pm PST at PADI headquarters in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.
The seminar will include several keynote presentations, and attendees will also be provided with breakfast and lunch. Representatives from both PADI and DAN will conduct presentations. Featured presentations include:
- Diving Equipment Failures: Did Your Equipment Fail You or Did You Fail Your Equipment? – Led by Francois Burman, Pr. Eng., M.Sc.
- Rescue of Unconscious Diver at the Surface and Oxygen Administration – Led by Alan Jan, Director of Instructor Development.
- SMB Deployment | Led by Alan Jan, Director of Instructor Development.
- Thinking Critically About Post-Dive Symptoms: An Interactive Review of DAN Cases – Led by Matias Nochetto, MD, FUHM.
- Your Questions Answered! DAN Membership, Dive Accident & Travel Insurance – Led by Steven Jamroz, M.A., Shelli Wright, Director, Commercial Insurance, Nathalie Judkins, Director, Membership & Insurance Services.
