PADI is reaching out to the dive community worldwide to help celebrate and promote Women’s Dive Day.
This year, the event will be taking place on July 16th, 2022 across the world, and is the eighth year the event has taken place. PADI members can plan and organize their events and then register them so that participants can easily find them around the world.
As with every year, the event is focused on inclusion, diversity and environmentalism. Commenting on the event, Chief Brand and Membership Officer for PADI Worldwide Kristin Valette Wirth stated:
“It’s inspiring to see PADI Dive Centers, Resorts and Professionals champion PADI Women’s Dive Day for eight years running, making this event one of the most celebrated days of diving on the planet and for the planet. They demonstrate that working together as a community for a common purpose can create real ocean change. PADI Members persevered by keeping their events going over the last couple of years with creativity and adaptation to respect local regulations, and this year we are looking forward to uniting once again to encourage diversity while taking meaningful action to save the ocean.”
