Permit For Using Certain Scuba Tanks Has Been Renewed

-

If you use a certain set of scuba tanks whose permits had expired, the folks at PSI-PCI have announced that these permits have now been renewed.

The “Special Permit” for scuba cylinders marked with the designations “SP9791” or “E9791” had expired as of September 30th, 2022, meaning that those tanks were “no longer valid for use, fill or transport in the US by law,” according to PSI-PCI.

Now, however, PSI-PCI said this week:

“PSI-PCI has been notified that Special Permit 9791 has been renewed by the US Department of Transportation Special Permits office.”

The new “Special Permit” has been renewed through 2026, according to PSI-PCI.

Check out the new permit here.
