Platinum Pro Diver Card Applications Now Available

-

How avid a diver are you? How many dives have you logged since you got certified?

Scuba Schools International has this “Platinum Pro 5000 Diver” card that certifies you’ve done at least 2,500 dives, giving you bragging rights over your less-experienced dive buddies.

You could be an unsung divemaster on any island or Jacques Cousteau. Both of you would earn your cards the same way — by diving 5,000 times.

Here are the basic rules: Apply online and be recommended — in writing — by two current Platinum Pros. You can qualify via two ways:

“1. Make 5,000 or more dives
“2. Make 2,500 dives and document a significant contribution to the recreational scuba diving industry.”

If you put 5,000 dives into perspective, that means it would take 500 dives a year for 10 years, or 100 dives a year for 50 years.

That’s one heckuva commitment.

According to SSI:

“The Platinum Pro5000 Diver card is the calling card of the world’s most elite water explorers. The list of cardholders is a ‘who’s who’ of diving, containing the world’s most prominent dive leaders, scientists, photographers, manufacturers, retailers, and resort operators.”

To apply online, or if you know someone who might qualify, tell them to click here.
