Sea and Sea Underwater Photography, the leader in professional underwater photographic equipment, has announced the hiring of Ron G. Pavelka as the company’s new General Manager. Pavelka, well-known throughout the dive industry, will assume his new duties on September 1 and will work from the company’s American Headquarters in Carlsbad, California.
In making the announcement, Mr. Masaoki Yamaguchi, Sea and Sea Chairman stated, "Mr. Pavelka has been involved with diving for close to 30 years. He has worked with some of the biggest names in the scuba industry and we feel he is the correct choice to lead Sea and Sea."
Pavelka was most recently the Sales and Marketing Manager for ScubaLux, formerly SeaGate Cylinders. Prior to that he served as the Director of Marketing for Dacor where he supervised a national sales force and helped to introduce and revamp the company’s entire product line.
In his new position with Sea and Sea, Pavelka will direct all sales and marketing efforts, supervise the development of new products, create new marketing and promotional programs and work closely with other members of the retail and educational communities to better build Sea and Sea’s popular brand imaging.
