Shark Advocacy Groups See Spike In Donations After Trump Remarks

Several shark advocacy groups are seeing a spike in donations in the name of U.S. President Donald Trump.

The donations came in the wake of revelations by porn actress Stormy Daniels who told In Touch Weekly:

“He is obsessed with sharks. Terrified of sharks. He was like, ‘I donate to all these charities and I would never donate to any charity that helps sharks. I hope all the sharks die.’ He was like riveted. He was like obsessed. It’s so strange, I know.”

Following the publication of those remarks, Marketwatch.com reports that organizations like the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy and Sea Shepherd Conservation Society have seen an uptick in donations.

Sea Shepherd founder Paul Watson said:

“Anything that focuses attention on the plight of sharks worldwide is valuable, so I guess in that way the president did good service.”
