Scuba Diving Technical Diving pioneer John Bennett missing

Technical Diving pioneer John Bennett missing

-

John Bennett has been reported missing presumed dead after a Commercial Diving Job in Korea, no details regarding the incident are available at this time.

John was a true pioneer of tech diving and was a world record holder for deep diving being the first person to break the 1000ft barrier 308 m off the Philippines.

John was, for a while, the Technical Diving Editor here at DeeperBlue.net and we feel that not only have we lost a true friend but the whole diving community has lost a great leader in Technical Diving.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to John’s wife Gaby and their children at this time.
