UN support ICRAN

“An exciting new development in the global effort to reverse the decline of the world?s coral reefs took place on March 19, 2001. The United Nations Foundation (UNF) awarded $10 million dollars to support the International Coral Reef Action Network (ICRAN). The ICRAN project is a four-year collaborative effort among several organizations and institutions that have formed an impressive coalition working toward an ultimate goal, which is to protect coral reefs. CORAL has been selected to implement the communication portion of the ICRAN project.
