What is being billed as the largest freediving center in the world has opened its doors on Panglao Island, Bohol, Philippines.
The center is part of the FREEDIVE+ company founded by Sura Dai, Cao Yu, and Vincent Sparreboom. The center is called FREEDIVE+ Freedive Academy Panglao and features:
- Five classrooms
- Freediving instructor trainer classroom
- Apnea Gym
- Four-lane 25-meter pool
- Yoga and stretching area
- Restaurant
- 10 luxury apartments
Keep in mind that this is only the first phase of the development, with phase two scheduled for completion by mid-2019, and phase three set to wrap up in mid-2020.
Once complete, the center will feature two additional floors and will add:
- Five more classrooms
- A total of 30 luxury apartments
- Two massage rooms
- Juice bars
- A small shop
The center offers a variety of training courses including SSI Freediving Instructor courses as well as new levels 1 & 2 of recreational freediving programs, alongside a master training program and professional development.
