5th Mediterranean World Cup of Freediving

Freediving Club Greece is pleased to announce the fifth Mediterranean World Cup and to commemorate its 5-yr anniversary, the Med Cup will return to where it all started in Crete. The beautiful seaside village of Myrtos will be home for this year’s freediving event. Taking place over the course of  five-weeks, the Med Cup is a unique opportunity for freedivers from around the world to meet and train together in an idyllic, aquatic setting. In order to provide the best level of safety and enjoyment during the 5th Mediterranean World Cup the organizers are limiting the number of participating athletes to a maximum of 25 freedivers per week.

Schedule:
Dates: May 14th to June 17th
Weeks 1, 2 & 3: Training Weeks
Week 4 Training and 3 days of Mediterranean World Cup (Wed 6th, Thu 7th and Sat 8th CWT/CNF/FIM available on all Cup days)
Week 5 Training & Party Week

For novice freedivers and or people who want to experience the peace and beauty of diving on a single breath of air for the very first time, Freediving Club Greece will be running all levels of courses during the 5th Mediterranean World Cup from AIDA1* Introduction to Freediving up to AIDA Instructor Courses. An active ocean advocate, VP of U.S. Freediving, a multi-agency scuba instructor and AIDA judge, Francesca also serves as the Editor-At-Large here at DeeperBlue.com. You can usually find Francesca diving in the kelp, hanging out at the Farallones with sharky friends, or trying to improve upon her own PB’s.
