AIDA 2018 Indoor Pool Freediving World Championship Website Is Now Live

The website for the 2018 AIDA Individual Indoor Pool World Championship is now up and running on both desktop and mobile.

This year’s World Championship freediving competition will be held June 23, 2018 to July 1, 2018 in Belgrade, Serbia. The competition will feature three disciplines: Static (STN), Dynamic No Fins (DNF), and Dynamic with Fins (DYN).  Competitors compete in this event as individuals rather than as country teams.

While organizers expect 100-150 participants, the event has the capacity to host up to 400 competitors. Limits are set per country, with each country limited to four competitors per discipline in both the men’s and women’s events.

This year’s competition will be held at the “Milan Gale Muškatirovi” sports center, which boasts two indoor and two outdoor pools. The competition pool is 50m/164 ft long and 2m/6.5ft deep. The pool is kept at 26C/78.8F and the width of the competition lanes is 2.5m/8.2ft.

You can find out more about the competition here.
