If you’re interested in taking your ocean advocacy to a whole new level, PADI and Project AWARE are challenging divers to undertake a variety of activities during AWARE Week, which takes place from September 15th to the 23rd, 2018.

According to Project AWARE:

“This global event includes activities focused on tackling ocean pollution, creating awareness for vulnerable shark and ray species, and empowering local communities to take positive actions for the protection of fragile aquatic environments, fins on and fins off.”

Consequently, the organization is looking to PADI Pros and divers during that week to develop ideas and ways to run Project AWARE courses, raise money to protect the ocean or even conduct “Dive Against Debris” survey dives.
