Police are investigating the drowning of an 18-month-old girl in a swimming pool.
The toddler died in the pool in Havant, Hampshire, on Sunday evening.
A Hampshire Police spokeswoman said ambulance crews tried to save the youngster at the scene and she was then rushed to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, but she died.
She said that the death was being treated as a tragic accident and there were no suspicious circumstances.
The spokeswoman added that officers would not be releasing the address where the incident took place.
