On Tuesday April 26th at the Vertical Blue 2016 event in the Bahamas, Sayrui Kinoshita of Japan dove to a depth of 72m in the Constant Weight No Fins (CNF) discipline to break the current world record.

The previous record was held by the late Natalia Molchanova at 70m 71m set in 2014 2015 in Dahab.
