The dates for the annual Roatan Underwater Photofest have been announced, and the event is set for November 2-9, 2019.
The annual competition is packed with events, with your typical morning featuring two dives before lunch. After lunch, there is a huge array of activities to take part in. The afternoons are taken up with anything from diving, classroom presentations, group photo editing sessions where divers can share their skills, or generally socializing and chatting to other like-minded divers.
The evenings are no less busy, with a lot of divers opting for a night dive, or happy hour, with opportunities to listen to guest speakers, and doing some photo editing while fitting dinner in.
According to three-time attendee and award winner Michelle Scamahorn, the week is so much fun that it passes by in a flash.
Near the end of the week, the friendly photo contest kicks in with multiple categories up for grabs, and plenty of great prizes provided by the events’ sponsor. What makes the annual Roatan Underwater Photofest truly special is that it has something for every diver interested in underwater photography regardless of their level of experience.
