Greek Spearo and Founder of Deep Worldwide Magazine, Dimitris Kollias, has been in a tragic accident. Whilst details are not fully known yet, the past couple of months he has been in intensive care in an Athens hospital.
Deep Worldwide issued the following statement on Facebook:
“Hello Deep Worldwide fans. It is sad news I bring you. Founder and owner of DeepWorldwide Dimitris Kollias was involved in a tragic accident. He sustained life-threatening head injuries. As a result, he survives now in a catatonic state. D lived life as it should be. Always as every day was his last. The enjoyment of laughter with friends over a nice dinner and a few drinks. I’m proud to have spent many hours in the sea with my friend in many oceans of the world. Let’s not forget his great contribution to spearfishing and the many people he has touched along the way. Maybe he will be granted a miracle. He belongs in the sea.”
