Divers boycott Palau over coalition with Japan on reversal of commercial whaling ban

CDNN (Cyber Diver News Network) is driving a diver-led boycott against the world famous diving destination, Palau (South Pacific), due their coalition with Japan to block the establishment of whale sanctuaries and reverse the ban on commercial whaling.

Palau is known for promoting itself as an eco-friendly destination committed to the protection of dugongs, dolphins, and whales. This collusion with Japan is caused uproar with diving communities and a petition has been formed for participation by divers worldwide.

Palau is the host of the South Pacific Mini Games 2005 to be held in July.
