Diving suspended in Sharm el Sheikh after shark attacks

Three snorkelers have been injured in a shark attacks in and around Naama Bay in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.  The Egypt’s Chamber of Diving and Watersports (CDWS) have implemented a suspension to all diving activities around the area apart from the Ras Mohammed National Park.

The shark has been identified as an Oceanic White Tip and efforts are under way to capture the shark and release it away from the area.

These sorts of shark attacks are very rare and the CDWS are currently working with experts to understand why these attacks took place.
