The third day of the CMAS Indoor World Championships in Lignano Sabbiadoro (Friday June 10th) saw competitors take to the pool for the Dynamic Apnea With Fins (Bi-Fins). By the end of the day it was clear that Italy continued to dominate the competition in both the Men and Women categories.

On the men’s side the podium was completely Italian and new National and World records were broken by Andrea Vitturini with an incredible 226.5m swim. Vitturini’s records were even more incredible considering he has been suffering from health issues. 2nd and 3rd places were taken by Aldo Stradotti, with a 220.88m swim, and Alessandro Zacheo with a 210.8m swim.

On the women’s side Italian powerhouse Alessia Zecchini set a new world record with a 204.2m Dynamic (DYN BF) performance. The rest of the podium is again dominated by the Italian team with Tiziana De Giulio and Cristina Rodda swapping their previous positions obtained in the Dynamic No Fins (DNF), with 188m and 178.77m performances.
