EU to set Training Standards

“CEN, the European Standards organisation is developing a set of standards relevant to sport-diving training agencies it was reported in Diver.

The plan covers three main areas: diver-training schemes, diving-instructor qualifications and dive-centre operations.

It is unlikely agencies will need to change their current training systems, but it will give a minimum standard to check against.”
