Limassol, Cyprus May 26, 2003 – Russia’s Natalia Molchanova has won the Women’s Dynamic Apnea discipline, equaling the womens’ world record of 150 meters. Herbert Nitsch has won Men’s Dynamic Apnea with a performance of 155m, however, he accrued 10 penalty points for breaching the surface on a turn.
Britain’s Hayden Welch aborted his dynamic apnea performance at 50m, confounding the high expectations which had accompanied him to the Classic. Another disappointment was Pierre Frolla’s disqualification after he had passed the 150m mark.
