The Sea of Change Foundation and Aggressor Adventures have collaborated to publish a free complete online guide to sustainable traveling.
The 25-page document is a comprehensive guide with lots of important information and tips, from how to limit single-use plastic to sustainable shopping practices while on vacation.
The guide is the work of graduate student Megan Hoover, who dove deep into sustainable travel while studying for her Masters of Professional Science program at the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric and Earth Science.
Commenting on her work, Hoover stated:
“Communication via this sustainable travel guide can help bridge knowledge gaps between environmental scientists and the public. I hope Aggressor Adventures’ guests find this guide helpful both in their travels and at home in learning to make more environmentally conscious choices while also learning about environmental issues facing the natural world today.”
While Samantha Whitcraft, the Director of Conservation & Outreach for Aggressor Adventures, stated:
“The guide provides a summary section and packing list of recommended, sustainable products for quick reference by busy travelers. And the complete guide can be downloaded to your phone or tablet for easy access.”
On the other hand, Wayne Brown, the CEO of Aggressor Adventures and chairman of the foundation’s board of directors, added:
“We’re thrilled to provide this helpful guide for our guests as we invite them to join us in expanding our sustainability outreach. Both as a company and as individuals, we value a vibrant and healthy natural world, and our new sustainable travel guide will help us share those values with our customers.”
