Freediving Apparel Maker Hypoxia Outfitters A New Exhibitor At Blue Wild Expo

With each passing year, the Blue Wild Ocean Adventure Expo seems to grow, not just in attendees but in exhibitors as well.

One of the new exhibitors at this year’s Expo is Rob Pierce, one of the founding partners of Hypoxia Outfitters, which sells spearfishing and freediving lifestyle apparel.

Pierce, born and raised in Hawaii, told DeeperBlue.com he has been freediving nearly his whole life. A web developer and graphic designer by trade, he would make T-shirts on trips for his friends, “and then people would see them and say, ‘Oh, where’d you get the shirt?’

“And so at some point I put together a little website when I had some free time and I put a few designs on there and it just kind of took on a life of its own.”

Indeed, the company has seen its reach grow very quickly in the past few months, with distribution in 16 countries and counting, according to a recent tweet.
