Mandy-Rae Cruickshank of Vancouver, BC, Canada attempted a 41m constant weight no fins AIDA world record and completed the dive with a clean surface recovery in one minute and thirty-four seconds. The world record dive exceeds the longstanding 40m FREE world record set by Yasemin Dalkilic. Two AIDA judges from Europe were present for the attempt. At press time, the AIDA judges present had not yet reviewed bottom video. Water conditions were 20C on the surface and "very cold" at depth.
