“The Marine Conservation Society is hosting a one-day conference later this month, at which staff involved in the making of the Blue Planet series will relate their experiences.
At the event, entitled Marine Life Conference: Oceans 2001, the documentary makers will air footage not seen in the series including sequences of animal behaviour never filmed before.
A number of other marine life experts and conservationists will also give talks. Topics include a glimpse into the life of marine turtles and ways of protecting fish stocks.
The event, supported by PADI Project AWARE, is on October 20th and will be held at the Boldrewood Centre, Southampton University.
A Conference dinner will take place in the evening at the Southampton Oceanography Centre on Southampton’s Empress Dock.
Tickets are priced at ??20 for the day, ??15 for students. These tickets include coffee, tea and a buffet lunch. Tickets for both the day and Dinner cost ??40.
