The National Geographic TV Channel has announced that it is going to air a live special with World Record Holder Freediver William Trubridge.

Titled Free Dive Live With William Trubridge it is a follow from it’s Live From Space special.  The freediving special will follow the 15-time free-diving record-holder and current world champion as he attempts to swim deeper than any person has ever gone before on a Constant Weight No Fins (CNF) dive. Trubridge will dive into the infamous Dean’s Blue Hole in the Bahamas with nothing but his hands and feet to propel him, attempting to reach 350ft / 107m — a depth deeper than the height of the Statue of Liberty.

The show will also document Trubridge as he prepares for the dive and explore the science of how his body is able to tackle something most people could never do.
