New Housing from Equinox Designed Specifically for Panasonic Cameras

Equinox Underwater Products, a leading manufacturer of underwater video and digital still housings, announces the release of the ProPak 8 Housing for Panasonic’s AG-DVX100 Mini DV3 CCD camera.

One of the few manufacturers to offer products for the Panasonic line, Equniox designed the ProPak 8 to provide exceptional performance and unmatched reliability in a custom-designed package unique to the Panasonic brand. The ProPak 8 designed for the AG-DVX100 is rugged and durable with excellent balance, quick-release ballasts and the flexibility to be used both above and below the water’s surface.

Specific control features include power on/off, record start-stop, zoom controls, white balance and auto focus on-off options. A specific feature unique to the Equinox line and offered with this new housing is the manual focus ring, an option that sets the ProPak 8 apart from other housings.

"Photographers have asked for this option and we’re pleased to deliver the manual focus ring option that works in tandem so perfectly with the Panasonic AG-DVX100 camera," says TJ Mansfield, President of Equinox Underwater Products. "Equinox has a long standing goal of being a leader in the underwater video industry and being first to market with a product like this is a significant accomplishment."

Mansfield said that the ProPak 8 for this Panasonic AG-DVX100 is not only highly functional for underwater photographers, but this housing is also one of the most economical. With a suggested retail price of just $1399, Equinox is poised to deliver professional quality at a very reasonable price.
