OMER is Killing It With New Gear at DEMA 2019

OMER had some great new products to tempt the discriminating freediver during this DEMA Show 2019.

First up is a pair of his and hers lined freediving suits made of compression-resistant, super-stretchy neoprene. The Odino and Valkiria are performance-oriented 5mm suits and printed with carbon detail graphics with a slick finish. Minimum listed price (MAP): US$220/£170/€199 for the jacket and $160/£124/€145 for the pants.

In masks, you’ll want to check out the Abalon, a versatile, well-fitting mask is perfect for all kinds of dive activities and a variety of face sizes. Available in black or blue, MAP: $40/£31/€36. The Wolf is a streamlined model with low internal volume and wide field of view. It’s got a soft silicone skirt and is available in black/red, brown, black/yellow, and grey/orange versions at a MAP price of: $95/£73/€86.

The Shift snorkel is a standard “J” design engineered for durability and optimum air exchange/water ejection. It comes standard with a snorkel keeper and is available in black or blue. MAP: $18/£14/€16 for black, $20/£15.5/€18 for blue. Their floating snorkel, the UP-SN1 is available in white, yellow, or red to coordinate with the UP-M1 masks. MAP: $32/£25/€29.

For your finning needs, they have the Stingray Evo in a deep chocolate brown that makes them visible at the surface but camouflaged against rocky or sandy bottoms. With a 22-degree downturned blade and a performance-enhancing keyhole, this model is has a dual-hardness footpocket, and interchangeable blades that can be upgraded to carbon. MAP: $170/£132/€154.

We’ve saved the big gun for last, and with this model if you’re not the king of the sea, at least you’ll feel like you are. The Invictus Rex has an aluminum barrel, stainless steel trigger mechanism, and a three-hole open muzzle. It comes with a pair of Performer 2 bands with Dyneema wishbones that align rather than overlapping, due to the unique muzzle design. The smaller sizes come with a 6.5mm America barbed shaft, while the larger two come with a 6.75mm, but the Rex can accommodate up to 7.5mm.
