Divers Den is looking to expand and improve the Tugs platform in Tobermory, Ontario, Canada.
The company is currently discussing with the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula and Parks Canada how to achieve this goal best. The platform is critical to accessing the shipwrecks at the Tugs and is a great training location for visiting dive operators and certified divers. The expansion ideas include:
- Cleaning up the area to create more new usable space.
- Expanding the deck.
- The addition of new diver-friendly features.
- Landscaping certain areas to prevent trash build-up in the brush.
To support the project, MNBP and Parks Canada have asked Divers Den to reach out for the support of the dive community. To this end, Divers Den has set up a petition that the community can use to show its support for the project.
