The results are in for the Freediving New Zealand Pool Nationals competition which was held over the weekend of September 14-16, 2018.
The event was hosted by Queenstown and featured several individual competitions and a club contest. Individual events included Static, Dynamic, and Dynamic No Fins. There was also an overall winner, and the winning club was decided by the largest number of points won by athletes affiliated to it.
The winners are as follows:
Overall:
F- Gemma Cookson with a point total of 179.5.
M- Guy Brew with a point total of 240.7.
Static:
F- Kathryn Nevatt with a time of 7:07.
M- Guy Brew with a time of 8:11.
Dynamic:
F- Kathryn Nevatt with a distance of 176m/577ft.
M- Jarrod Briffa with a distance of 170m/558ft.
Dynamic No Fins:
F- Gemma Cookson with a distance of 111m/364ft.
M- Guy Brew with a distance of 138m/453ft.
Club Results:
The winning club was the Lazy Seal Freediving Club with a total of 551.6 points.
