“Kirk Krack of Performance Freediving along with Mandy-Rae Cruickshank, World Record holder and Tom Lightfoot, Team Canada member along with the Canadian Association of Freediving and Apnea (CAFA) will be conducting a freediving clinic and study of participants involving the ‘Psychophysiological Adaptations and Responses of Novice and Elite Freedivers’ with the research assistance of Dr. Andrew Blaber and Dr. Eric Seedhouse of the Simon Fraser University School of Kinesiology in Vancouver, Canada.
Non-invasive research testing will study the following:
The research clinic will run Wednesday evenings for twelve weeks and cover both class and pool session with weeks seven to twelve including a weekend open water dive component. This clinic is designed to enhance the participants physiological, psychological capabilities along with the techniques required as a competent and safe freediver.
