Spare Air Unveils New, Larger Air Cylinder

The folks at Spare Air have heard customer feedback wanting a larger spare air tank when they dive, and the wait is finally over: Spare Air is now available in three cylinder sizes — 1.7 cu.ft (48 liters), 3.0 cu.ft. (85 liters) and 6.0 cu.ft. (170 liters).

Weighing 3.7 pounds/1.7 kg, the company’s new six-cubic-foot model has all the same features as a regular Spare Air unit:

  • Refillable from scuba tank or air compressor;
  • Easy to Travel with;
  • Comes with a refill adapter, holster and safety leash; and
  • For self-rescue, or to pass off to another diver in an emergency.

Due to its popularity, the initial run of 600 is already sold out, but more will be available within two weeks.

For more information, or to place an order to get on the priority waiting list, go to the spareair.com website.
