Tanya Streeter Nominated For Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year Awards

Tanya Streeter Glamour World Champion Freediver Tanya Streeter has been nominated for the "The Helen Rollason Award for Inspiration" at the Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year Awards to be held on November 26th, 2003 at The Park Lane Hotel, in London.

The prestigious ceremonies surrounding the Awards celebrate the achievements of inspirational sportswomen in several different categories. Now in their 16th year, the Awards are unique in their celebration of British women’s achievements in sport – at every level.

The Red Bull athlete and TAG Heuer ambassador reflects, "I am honoured to be invited to attend the Sportswomen of the Year Awards and amazed to learn that I’ve been nominated for such a special award. But more than anything I am looking forward to being in the same room as so many incredible athletes!"

With the recent success of her World Records in 2002 and 2003 that took place in the Turks and Caicos Islands, Streeter’s public profile has been boosted tremendously by appearances on primetime American and British television networks. Most recently she stole the show on the set of NBC’s "Late Night with Conan O’Brien" with A-list actor Seth Green and host O’Brien. Later this month she will travel to England for further television appearances and speaking engagements.
